Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg is a luxurious hotel in Hamburg, Germany. It was opened in 1909 as a grand hotel. It was awarded as the best hotel in Germany until June 2009. Since 1957 it belongs to the chain Kempinski and also it belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World. The hotel is located between the lake Alster and Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. In May 2008, the facade of the hotel was restored. The general restoration of the hotel has began in 2010. Although the reconstruction will take 12-14 months and 25 million Euros you can already stay in completely refurbished rooms and suites. The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski also offers 13 conference rooms, salons and high-ceilinged halls to hold an exclusive event or meeting.
In 1997, a part of the James Bond series, Tomorrow Never Dies, was filmed in the hotel.
